The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ THE MOST GRACIOUS 1 Taught the Qur'an, 2 He created man. 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 and the stars and the trees bow themselves; 6 He raised the heavens and set up everything in balance, 7 (Transgress not in the Balance, 8 So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. 9 And the earth has He spread out for all living beings, 10 therein fruits, and palm-trees with sheaths, 11 and grain in the blade, and fragrant herbs. 12 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 13 He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery. 14 and jinn from the many colored flames of fire. 15 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 16 Lord of the East and Lord of the West. 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 and between them is a barrier which they do not overpass. 20 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 21 Pearls and corals come from both. 22 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 23 His too are the ships that run, raised up in the sea like land-marks. 24 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 25
