The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Most Beneficent (Allah)! 1 It is He Who has taught the Qur'an. 2 He hath created man. 3 He hath taught him utterance. 4 The sun and moon revolve to a computation; 5 The stars and the trees prostrate themselves. 6 And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice), 7 that you may not transgress in the balance, 8 and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) 9 And He has set up the earth for all beings. 10 Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates] 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 13 He created the human from clay, like earthenware 14 and He created the jinns from a flame of fire. 15 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests! 17 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 18 He hath let loose the two seas. 19 and between them is a barrier which they do not overpass. 20 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 21 There come forth from them pearls, both large and small. 22 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 23 To Him only belong the sailing ships, raised above the sea like hills. 24 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 25
