The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The Beneficent Allah, 1 Taught the Quran. 2 He created man. 3 and He taught him speech. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning. 5 And the herbs and the trees do obeisance. 6 And the heaven He has raised high, and He has set up the Balance. 7 (Transgress not in the Balance, 8 And keep up the balance with equity and do not make the measure deficient. 9 He positioned the earth for all the creatures: 10 with fruit thereon, and palm trees with sheathed clusters [of dates,] 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created man from clay like that of earthenware. 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 16 He is Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He has let forth the two seas, they meet together, 19 Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. 20 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 21 Pearls and corals come from both. 22 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 23 And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. 24 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 25
