The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Beneficent (God) 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He created man, 3 and taught him its pronunciation. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning, 5 And the stars and trees prostrate. 6 And the heaven, He raised it high, and He made the balance 7 That you not transgress within the balance. 8 and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) 9 He has laid out the earth for His creatures. 10 Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees, 11 and grain in the blade, and fragrant herbs. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He has created man, from dry ringing clay, like the potter"s, 14 whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire. 15 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 16 He is the Lord of the two easts and the Lord of the two wests. 17 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 18 He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together: 19 between them a barrier they do not overpass. 20 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 Which, of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 23 And His are the lofty ships that sail like [floating] mountains through the seas. 24 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 25
