The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the event befalleth - 1 no soul will deny its coming. 2 abasing, exalting, 3 When the earth is shaken 4 and the mountains will crumble 5 So that they become dust seattered. 6 And ye will be three kinds: 7 So those on the right – how (fortunate) are those on the right! 8 And those on the Left Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Record in their left hands), Who will be those on the Left Hand? (As a disgrace for them, because they will enter Hell). 9 The third to the fore shall be the foremost. 10 Those are they who will be brought nigh 11 In Gardens of Delight. 12 A multitude of those of old 13 and a few from later times. 14 upon close-wrought couches 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness), 17 Carrying bowls and pitchers – and cups filled with wine flowing before them. 18 No headache will they have therefrom, nor will they be intoxicated - 19 and with fruit of any kind that they may choose, 20 And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire. 21 and there shall be wide-eyed maidens, 22 Like unto preserved pearls. 23 A reward for what they used to do. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 Nought but the saying: peace! peace! 26 The Companions of the Right 27 Among thorn-less lote-trees. 28 and acacias flower-clad, 29 And shade extended 30 and outpoured waters, 31 and an abundance of fruits, 32 never-failing and never out of reach. 33 and raised couches 34 Indeed, We have produced the women of Paradise in a [new] creation 35 Then We have made them virgins, 36 Loving companions matched in age, 37 with those who have attained to righteousness: 38
