The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When there happeneth the Event. 1 There is no belying its coming to pass-- 2 abasing, exalting, 3 when the earth shall be rocked 4 And the mountains will be crushed, blown to bits. 5 they will become like dust scattered around. 6 You will become three categories: 7 Companions of the Right, what are the Companions of the Right? 8 And those on the left hand; how miserable shall those on the left hand be! 9 And the Outstrippers, the Outstrippers 10 those are they brought near (to their Lord) 11 in the Gardens of Bliss. 12 A numerous company from among the first, 13 and only a few of them from the later generations. 14 On thrones decorated, 15 Reclining on them, facing one another. 16 they will be waited on by ageless youths 17 with goblets, jugs and cups of crystal clear wine 18 Wherefrom they will get neither any aching of the head, nor any intoxication. 19 Also, they will be served with the fruits of their choice 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire to eat; 21 and fair maidens with large, lustrous eyes 22 like pearls preserved in their shells, 23 a recompense for all that they did. 24 There hear they no vain speaking nor recrimination 25 But only the saying of: Salam!, Salam! (greetings with peace)! 26 The Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 27 They will be in (the shade) of thornless lote 28 and banana trees, 29 And extended shade, 30 Gushing water, 31 and fruits in abundance, 32 unfailing and not forbidden. 33 And couches raised up. 34 and their spouses We shall have brought them into being afresh, 35 And made them virgins. 36 chastely amorous, 37 for the people of the right hand 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
