The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the great event comes to pass, 1 There is no belying its coming to pass-- 2 Abasing (some), exalting (others); 3 When the earth is shaken with a shaking [severe,] 4 and the mountains are shattered into [countless] shards, 5 Turned to dust, floating in the air, 6 [on that Day] you shall be divided into three groups. 7 Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 8 Companions of the Left, what are the Companions of the Left? 9 But the foremost shall be [they who in life were] the foremost [in faith and good works]: 10 It is they who are the close ones. 11 In gardens of delight; 12 A multitude of those of old 13 And a few from the latter. 14 On couches wrought of gold, 15 reclining upon them, facing one another [in love]. 16 They will be served by immortal boys, 17 with goblets and ewers, and a cup from a spring 18 Their heads shall not ache with it, nor shall they lose their senses. 19 they will also go about them with the fruits of which they may choose, 20 And the flesh of fowl such as they desire. 21 And (there will be) Houris (fair females) with wide, lovely eyes (as wives for the pious), 22 Like unto hidden pearls, 23 The reward for what they did. 24 There hear they no vain speaking nor recrimination 25 but only the tiding of inner soundness and peace. 26 The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 27 (will be) among thornless Lote trees. 28 and banana trees, 29 And shade extended 30 Gushing water, 31 and abundant fruits, 32 never-ending and unforbidden. 33 And on Thrones (of Dignity), raised high. 34 We have formed them in a distinctive fashion, 35 We have made them virgins, 36 intensely loving and of matching age. 37 For the Companions of the Right Hand. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
