The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the Event inevitable cometh to pass, 1 There is, at its occurrence, no denial. 2 It will bring low (some); (and others) it will exalt; 3 When the earth will tremble, shivering. 4 And the mountains shall be made to crumble with (an awful) crumbling, 5 So that they will become floating dust particles. 6 And you become [of] three kinds: 7 Thus, there shall be such as will have attained to what is right: oh, how [happy] will be they who have attained to what is right! 8 Companions of the Left, what are the Companions of the Left? 9 The third to the fore shall be the foremost. 10 These will be those nearest to Allah. 11 in the Gardens of Delight 12 A [large] company of the former peoples 13 but [only] a few of later times. 14 On thrones woven [with ornament], 15 Reclining thereon facing each other. 16 Surrounded by immortal boys. 17 with goblets and ewers and a cup filled with a drink drawn from a running spring, 18 They shall not be affected with headache thereby, nor shall they get exhausted, 19 And fruits such as they choose, 20 And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire. 21 and wide-eyed houris 22 The likenesses of pearls well-protected, 23 Reward for what they used to do. 24 There hear they no vain speaking nor recrimination 25 Nought but the saying: peace! peace! 26 The Companions of the Right Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 27 They will be in (the shade) of thornless lote 28 and serried acacias, 29 And a shade ever-spread. 30 and flowing water, 31 And plenty of fruits. 32 never-failing and never out of reach. 33 And couches raised up. 34 Lo! We have created them a (new) creation 35 So made them as maidens. 36 Loving, equals in age, 37 For those of the right hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
