Man is prone to say: "Shall I be raised to life after I die?" 66 But does man not bear in mind that We have created him aforetime out of nothing? 67 So, by thy Lord, without doubt, We shall gather them together, and (also) the Evil Ones (with them); then shall We bring them forth on their knees round about Hell; 68 Then We shall carry off from every group those who were most stubborn in their opposition to the Gracious One, 69 Then, verily, We know best those who are most worthy of being burnt therein. 70 There is not one of you but shall approach it. That is a fixed ordinance of thy Lord. 71 Then We shall save those who use to fear Allah and were dutiful to Him. And We shall leave the Zalimun (polytheists and wrongdoers, etc.) therein (humbled) to their knees (in Hell). 72 And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Which of [our] two parties is best in position and best in association?" 73 How many generations that had far more wealth and ostentation have We laid low before them! 74 Say: "Ar-Rahman extends the life of those who are astray until they come to realise what had been promised them was either (physical) affliction or (the terror) of Resurrection. Then will they know who is worse in position, and who is weak in supporters. 75 (On the contrary), Allah increases in guidance those who follow the Right Way. Lasting acts of righteousness are better in the sight of your Lord as reward and conducive to a better end. 76 Then, have you seen he who disbelieved in Our verses and said, "I will surely be given wealth and children [in the next life]?" 77 Has he gained knowledge of the unseen, or made a covenant with the Beneficent Allah? 78 By no means! We write down what he says, and We will lengthen to him the length of the chastisement 79 All that he speaks of will belong to Us, and he will come into Our presence all alone. 80 And they have taken to them other gods apart from God, that they might be for them a might. 81 No! Those "gods" will deny their worship of them and will be against them opponents [on the Day of Judgement]. 82
