▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ No! I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 and, behold, this is indeed a most solemn affirmation, if you but knew it! 76 That this is indeed a qur'an Most Honourable, 77 In a Book kept hidden 78 which none but the pure may touch; 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Would you, now, look down with disdain on a tiding like this, 81 And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]? 82 Then why, when the soul at death reaches the throat 83 And ye are at that moment looking 84 and while We are closer to him than you, although you see [Us] not: 85 why, then, if [you think that] you are not truly dependent [on Us,] 86 Call back the soul, if ye are true (in the claim of independence)? 87 And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah, 88 there shall be repose and ease, and a Garden of Delight; 89 If he is of those of the right hand, 90 Then upon you is the greetings of peace (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), from those on the right. 91 And if he is one of those who give the lie (to this Message) and go astray, 92 Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water 93 and will be scorched by the Fire. 94 This is indeed the ultimate truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 96
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
