▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I swear by Mawaqi (setting or the mansions, etc.) of the stars (they traverse). 75 And that is indeed a tremendous oath, if you understand. 76 that this is indeed a noble Quran, 77 In a Book kept hidden 78 none but the purified shall touch, 79 It is a revelation sent down from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Then is it to this statement that you are indifferent 81 and your portion in it is simply that you denounce it as false? 82 Then why, when the soul at death reaches the throat 83 right before your very eyes? 84 And We are nigher unto him than ye are, but ye behold not 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 But if he [the dying person] is one of those brought near to God, 88 Then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure. 89 And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand, 90 Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand. 91 But if he is of the rejecters, the erring, 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 He will burn in Hell. 94 Verily, this is indeed the truth of truths! 95 So exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 96
