Al-Hijjr 2 of 6

We have set in heaven constellations and decked them out fair to the beholders, 16 And We have guarded it from every Satan damned. 17 excepting such as listens by stealth -- and he is pursued by a manifest flame. 18 We have spread out the earth, and set upon it firm mountains and caused everything to grow in due proportion. 19 and provided thereon means of livelihood for you [O men] as well as for all [living beings] whose sustenance does not depend on you. 20 And there is not a thing but with Us are the stores thereof. And we send it not down save in appointed measure. 21 And We have sent the fertilizing winds and sent down water from the sky and given you drink from it. And you are not its retainers. 22 And indeed it is We Who give life and it is We Who cause death, and We are the Inheritors. 23 And verily We know the eager among you and verily We know the laggards. 24 And verily thy Lord! He will gather them, and verily He is Wise, Knowing. 25
