▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I swear by the setting of the stars 75 - which is indeed a great oath if only you knew it - 76 it is indeed a Glorious Koran, 77 in a Book protected (from tampering) 78 which none shall touch except the purified; 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem, 81 do you make it your provision to belie it? 82 Wherefore then - when the soul cometh up to the wind-pipe 83 right before your very eyes? 84 and We are nearer to him than you, although you cannot see Us -- 85 why then, if you are not revived, 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 Then, if he is one of the honoured, 88 then happiness and delight and Gardens of Bliss are his. 89 And if he is of those on the right hand, 90 it will be with the people of the right hand, living in peace and security. 91 But if he is one of those who rejected [the truth] and went astray, 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 and a roasting in Hell. 94 This is indeed an utmost certainty. 95 Then praise your Lord, the most supreme. 96
