۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 and, indeed, that is a most mighty oath, if you only knew -- 76 That this is indeed a qur'an Most Honourable, 77 (Inscribed) in the well-kept Book. 78 Which none can touch except the purified. 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 So is this the matter regarding which you laze? 81 And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence. 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat, 83 And you at the moment are looking on, 84 We are closer to him than you, even though you cannot see? 85 why then, if you are not revived, 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 But if he [the dying person] is one of those brought near to God, 88 There will be peace and plenty, and gardens of tranquility for him. 89 And if he is of those on the right, – 90 Then: peace unto thee, for thou art of those on the right hand. 91 And if he is one of those who give the lie (to this Message) and go astray, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water 93 and the heat of hell fire. 94 Indeed, this is the true certainty, 95 So exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 96
