Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion, and He is Able to do all things. 1 who created death and life that He might examine which of you is best in deeds, and He is the Almighty, the Forgiving, 2 Who created the seven heavens one above another; you see no incongruity in the creation of the Beneficent Allah; then look again, can you see any disorder? 3 Then look again and again. Your gaze will come back to you confused and exhausted. 4 We have adorned the lowest heaven with lamps, and We have made them for driving away devils. For them We have prepared the punishment of the blazing Fire. 5 For those who reject their Lord (and Cherisher) is the Penalty of Hell: and evil is (such), Destination. 6 When they are thrown into it, they hear from it a [dreadful] inhaling while it boils up. 7 Almost bursting for fury. Whenever a group is cast into it, its keeper shall ask them: Did there not come to you a warner? 8 They will say," Yes, a warner had come to us, but we denied and said, 'Allah has not sent down anything. You are not but in great error.'" 9 They will say: 'If we had only listened and understood, we would not be among the inmates of the Blazing Fire.'” 10 They will confess to their sins, but the dwellers of hell will be far away from God's (mercy). 11 (As for) those who fear their Lord in secret, they shall surely have forgiveness and a great reward. 12 And whether ye hide your word or publish it, He certainly has (full) knowledge, of the secrets of (all) hearts. 13 Should not He Who has created know? And He is the Most Kind and Courteous (to His slaves) All-Aware (of everything). 14
