It is He who has made the earth subservient to you, so traverse its regions and eat its provisions. To Him you shall all be resurrected. 15 Can you ever feel secure that He who is in heaven will not cause the earth to swallow you up when, lo and behold, it begins to quake? 16 Do you feel secure that He Who is in the heaven will not let loose upon you a storm of stones? Then shall you know what My warning is like! 17 And certainly those before them rejected (the truth), then how was My disapproval. 18 Do they not observe the birds above them, spreading their wings and folding them in? None can uphold them except (Allah) Most Gracious: Truly (Allah) Most Gracious: Truly it is He that watches over all things. 19 Or which army do you have that will help you against the Most Gracious? The disbelievers are in nothing except an illusion. 20 Or who is he that will provide for you if He should withhold His providence? Nay, but they are set in pride and frowardness. 21 Can one who walks with his head hanging down be better guided that one who walks with his head upright? 22 Say, "It is He who has produced you and made for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful." 23 Say: 'It is He who scattered you in the earth, and unto Him you shall be mustered.' 24 And they say: when will this promise be fulfilled, if ye say sooth? 25 Say, "God knows best. I am only one who gives warning". 26 Then, when they see it nigh at hand, the faces of the unbelievers will be vexed, and it will be said, 'This is what you were promised.' 27 Say: "See ye?- If Allah were to destroy me, and those with me, or if He bestows His Mercy on us,- yet who can deliver the Unbelievers from a grievous Penalty?" 28 Say thou: He is the Compassionate; in Him we have believed, and in Him we have put our trust. And anon ye will know who it is that is in error manifest. 29 Say: "See ye?- If your stream be some morning lost (in the underground earth), who then can supply you with clear-flowing water?" 30
