Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Resurrection Verifier; 1 How awesome that laying-bare of the truth! 2 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the reality is! 3 THE LIE gave [the tribes of] Thamud and 'Ad to [all tidings of] that sudden calamity! 4 As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the awful cry! 5 And the 'Ad, they were destroyed by a furious Wind, exceedingly violent; 6 which continued to strike them for seven nights and eight days so that eventually you could see the people lying dead like the hollow trunks of uprooted palm-trees. 7 Now dost thou see any remnant of them? 8 And Fir'awn and those before him and the overturned cities committed sin. 9 And they disobeyed their Lord's apostle, so He laid hold of them with a grip increasing. 10 Verily! When the water rose beyond its limits [Nuh's (Noah) Flood], We carried you (mankind) in the floating [ship that was constructed by Nuh (Noah)]. 11 that We might make it a reminder for you and for heeding ears to hold. 12 So when the Trumpet will be blown, with a sudden single blow. 13 and the earth and the mountains are lifted up and crushed with a single blow, 14 on that Day shall that indubitable event come to pass; 15 And the sky will be rent asunder, for on that Day it will be so frail. 16 And the angels will be on its sides; and on that day, eight angels will carry the Throne of your Lord above them. 17 On that day ye will be exposed; not a secret of you will be hidden. 18 Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, he will say: Lo! read my book: 19 Indeed, I was certain that I would be meeting my account." 20 And he will be in a life of Bliss, 21 In a lofty Paradise, 22 Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near. 23 (It will be said): 'Eat and drink with a good appetite because of what you did in days long passed' 24 But as for him who will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "I wish that I had not been given my Record! 25 "And that I had never realised how my account (stood)! 26 O would that it had made an end (of me): 27 My wealth hath not availed me, 28 and my authority has been destroyed' 29 Lay hold of him and chain him; 30 then throw them into hell to be heated up therein. 31 Fasten a chain to them - seventy cubits long - 32 Lo! He used not to believe in Allah the Tremendous, 33 "And would not encourage the feeding of the indigent! 34 Today he shall have no loyal friend here, 35 neither any food saving foul pus, 36 Which none but sinners eat. 37
