But nay! I swear by all that ye see 38 And what ye see not, 39 That this is verily the word of an honoured messenger; 40 It is not the speech of a poet (little do you believe) 41 Nor is it the word of a soothsayer -- how little you reflect! 42 It has been sent down by the Lord of all the worlds. 43 And if he had fabricated against Us some of the sayings, 44 We surely had lain hold of him by the right hand. 45 then We would surely have cut his life-vein 46 And not one of you could have held Us off from him. 47 And verily it is an admonition unto the God-fearing. 48 And lo! We know that some among you will deny (it). 49 it will be a source of bitter regret for those who deny the truth -- 50 it is the indubitable truth. 51 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 52
