Jinns (Al-Jinn)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “I have received the divine revelation that some jinns attentively listened to my recitation, so they said, ‘We have heard a unique Qur’an.’ 1 guiding to rectitude. We believe in it, and we will not associate with our Lord anyone. 2 He -- exalted be our Lord's majesty! has not taken to Himself either consort or a son. 3 and that “the foolish among us have been wont to say outrageous things about Allah”; 4 And lo! we had supposed that humankind and jinn would not speak a lie concerning Allah - 5 "Certain human beings sought refuge with certain jinn and this increased the rebelliousness of those jinn. 6 So they began to think, even as you do, that God would not resurrect any one. 7 'And we have sought to reach the heaven; but found it filled with stern guards and flaming fires. 8 There, we would sit to eavesdrop, but now an eavesdropper finds a flame in wait for him. 9 And so we know not whether evil is intended for those in the earth, or whether their Lord intends for them rectitude. 10 And among us there are righteous folk and among us there are far from that. We are sects having different rules. 11 And we have become certain that we will never cause failure to Allah upon earth, nor can we escape Him by flight. 12 Hence, as soon as we heard this [call to His] guidance, we came to believe in it: and he who believes in his Sustainer need never have fear of loss or injustice. 13 And among us are Muslims [in submission to Allah], and among us are the unjust. And whoever has become Muslim - those have sought out the right course. 14 ‘And as for the unjust – they are the fuel of hell.’” 15 Would they but go straight on the way, We would give them to drink of water copious, 16 so that We may test them by it -- whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord shall be sternly punished. 17 and that “mosques belong to Allah, so do not invoke anyone with Him”; 18 ‘And that when Allah’s bondman stood up to worship Him, the jinns had almost crowded upon him.’” 19
