Say, [O Muhammad], "I only invoke my Lord and do not associate with Him anyone." 20 Say thou: verily I own not for you power of hurt nor of benefit 21 Say, "Indeed, there will never protect me from Allah anyone [if I should disobey], nor will I find in other than Him a refuge. 22 except a deliverance from Allah and His Messages. He who disobeys Allah and His Messenger, for him is the Fire of Gehenna, which he will be in for ever. 23 [The disbelievers continue] until, when they see that which they are promised, then they will know who is weaker in helpers and less in number. 24 (Muhammad), say, "I do not know whether that with which you have been threatened is close by or whether my Lord will prolong the time of its coming. 25 He is the knower of the Unknown, and He does not divulge His secret to any one 26 Save unto an apostle chosen. And then He causeth to go before him and behind him a guard. 27 So that He may know that they have truly delivered the messages of their Lord, and He encompasses what is with them and He records the number of all things. 28
