Never will you attain to righteousness unless you spend for the cause of God out of what you cherish; and whatever you spend is known to God. 92 ۞ All food was lawful unto the Children of Israel, save that which Israel forbade himself, (in days) before the Torah was revealed. Say: Produce the Torah and read it (unto us) if ye are truthful. 93 Whoso forges falsehood against God after that, those are the evildoers. 94 Say, "God speaks the Truth, so follow the faith of Abraham. He was an upright man and he was not one of the polytheists." 95 Indeed, the first House [of worship] established for mankind was that at Makkah - blessed and a guidance for the worlds. 96 In it are clear signs, the standing place of Ibrahim, and whoever enters it shall be secure, and pilgrimage to the House is incumbent upon men for the sake of Allah, (upon) every one who is able to undertake the journey to it; and whoever disbelieves, then surely Allah is Self-sufficient, above any need of the worlds. 97 Say: "O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Why do you reject the Ayat of Allah (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) while Allah is Witness to what you do?" 98 Say: "O followers of earlier revelation! Why do you [endeavour to] bar those who have come to believe [in this divine writ] from the path of God by trying to make it appear crooked, when you yourselves bear witness [to its being straight]? For, God is not unaware of what you do." 99 Believers, if you obey a certain group among the People of the Book, they will turn you back to disbelief. 100 And how would ye deny Faith while unto you are rehearsed the Signs of Allah, and among you Lives the Messenger? Whoever holds firmly to Allah will be shown a way that is straight. 101
