By no means! By the moon, 32 And the night when it departs, 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 A warning to mankind, 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
