▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 Verily, that [hell-fire] is Indeed one of the great [forewarnings] 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 until death approached us". 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Aye! every one of them desireth that: he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded. 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
