Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 As justification or warning, 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
