▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Nay, by the Moon 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 a warning to humans, 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 Except those on the right side. 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
