Nay! By the moon 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 as if they were startled asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 and whoever wills may take it to heart. 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
