Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 noble, writers 11 They know all that you do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
