The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] lined up in rows 1 And those who restrain by reprimanding, 2 and those who recite the Exhortation; 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have indeed adorned the lowest heaven with stars as ornaments. 6 And have placed therein a guard against any satan froward. 7 They cannot listen to the speech of those on higher elevations and they are targeted from every side. 8 and driven away to suffer the necessary torment. 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Are they stronger in constitution, or those We created? We created them of clinging clay. 11 Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule, 12 And when they are warned they pay no heed. 13 And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, 14 And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 What, and our forefathers, the ancients' 17 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." 18 It shall be but one shout, lo! they shall be staring. 19 They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 [It will be said], "This is the Day of Judgement which you have been denying." 21
