No! By the moon 32 by the retreating night, 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 a warning to humans, 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 who shall be in the Gardens, and shall ask 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
