By no means! By the moon, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 Warn the men. 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 in Gardens they will question 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 like frightened donkeys 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
