Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an, 1 But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing. 2 When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought back again)? That would be a far return! 3 Well do We know how the earth consumes their bodies, for with Us is a record unfailing. 4 In fact, they have rejected the truth that has come to them, thus, they live in confusion. 5 Have they not looked at the sky above them, how We have fashioned and adorned it, and it has no flaw? 6 And the earth - We have spread it wide, and set upon it mountains firm, and caused it to bring forth plants of all beauteous kinds, 7 for an insight and a reminder to every penitent servant. 8 And We send down water as a blessing from the sky, and grow gardens with it and the grain for harvest, 9 and tall palmtrees with compact spathes 10 As sustenance for the bondmen; and with it We revived a dead city; this is how you will be raised. 11 In the past Noah's people, and the people of Rass and Thamud gave the lie (to Messengers), 12 As did the people of 'Ad and Pharaoh and the brethren of Lot, 13 And the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba'; everyone of them denied (their) Messengers, so My Threat took effect. 14 Did We fail to accomplish the first creation? Of course, We did not; We have all power over all things. Yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
