I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 it is a warning to man, 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 Of evil-doers: 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
