Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips. 4 Nay! man desires to give the lie to what is before him. 5 He asks: “When will the Day of Resurrection be?” 6 Yet when the eyes are dazzled, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 Never! There is no refuge! 11 Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day. 12 Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off. 13 Nay! man is evidence against himself, 14 And even if he presents all the excuses he has, none will be listened to. 15 Do not move your tongue with it (the Revelation) to hasten it. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 And so when We recite it, follow its recitation attentively; 18 Then upon Us is its clarification [to you]. 19 Yet you love this hasty world 20 And neglect the hereafter. 21 That day will faces be resplendent, 22 Looking to their Lord. 23 Others will be despondent, 24 In the thought that some back-breaking calamity was about to be inflicted on them; 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 And they will say, “Is there any one – any magician?” 27 And he knoweth that it is the parting; 28 and when leg is intertwined with leg, 29 at that time towards thy Sustainer does he feel impelled to turn! 30
