Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 Nay! I swear by the self-accusing soul. 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Surely yes, why not? We can properly make all his phalanxes. 4 Rather, the human desires to continue in his immorality, 5 He asketh: When will be this Day of Resurrection? 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 The moon eclipsed, 8 when the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 Certainly not! There will be no place of refuge. 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind. 13 Indeed, man shall be a witness against himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility. 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 But no. You love this transient life, 20 and neglect the life to come. 21 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 22 gazing upon their Lord; 23 And how many faces on that Day will be woe-begone 24 Knowing that they will be subjected to a torment that breaks the backs. 25 Nay! When it comes up to the throat, 26 and when it is asked: "Could any magician save him now?"; 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 And one leg will be joined with another: 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
