Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a known term? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
