Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
