Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
