Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 separating one from another, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 The living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
