Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 separating one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 excusing or warning, 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 for an appointed time? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 and yellow camels. 33 What is promised will surely come to pass. 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
