Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
