Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
