Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 And those that strike violently, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a known extent. 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 The living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
