Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 until an appointed time? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 For the living and the dead. 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
