Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 storming tempestuously 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 As justification or warning, 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known extent. 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
