Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for an appointed term? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 For the living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
