Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a known calculated term. 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 as black camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
