Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 and place it in a secure place 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
