Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
