Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
