Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 till a known term decreed? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
