Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a known term? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
